The 1st Annual Mitten Quilt Retreat

Ready to unplug, sew your heart out, and connect with fellow quilters?The Mitten Quilt Retreat is a one-of-a-kind experience hosted by The Mitten Quilt Co., designed to bring our amazing community together in person. Whether you're flying in or driving up, this multi-day event is all about creativity, connection, and Fun.

We'll provide the space, the inspiration, and the good company, you bring your projects and your passion.

We are offering package options to create a retreat that feels special from the moment you walk into the event room until the very last goodbye. Whether this is your first retreat or you’ve attended many before, my goal is that you leave with more than finished projects. I want you to leave with memories, laughing, learning, connecting and talking about the experience for days afterward.

These extra touches and thoughtful details are there to make this weekend something you’ll remember long after your machine is packed away.

• Deadline to book at block rates is June 1st. Rooms booking fast. 

• $85 per night (rooms sleep minium 2)  if booked by Feb. 7th 2026 after Feb. 7th Rates increase to $95 per night — booked directly with Candlestone by calling. Card will be required at time off book but won't be charged until arrival. Free Cancellation if cancelled 4 days prior to arrival.

• Hotel Check-in: 3 PM | Check-out: 11 AM 

• Event setup begins: 10 AM on October 1 

• Retreat wraps up: 3 PM on October 5

Flying in?
We will provide volunteer-based airport shuttle service to and from Grand Rapids Airport (GRR), coordinated with your flight schedule. If a shuttle doesn’t fit your timing, we can help pair you with another attendee for a ride or you may rent a car from the airport. You’ll be contacted closer to the event to confirm transportation needs.

Pricing & Packages

A non-refundable $40 deposit is due to hold your spot and goes toward your total. If you intend to participate fillout the pre-registration form early so I can get a better idea of how many will be attending. Once your pre-registration form is complete you will receive an email walking you through next steps if you selected a payment plan.*Retreat pricing does not include lodging. ** If event is cancelled by The Mitten Quilt Co. all payments will be refunded. 

Package Options:

• Basic Package – $100
  (Access to the sewing room and social activities)

• Basic Package with Spouse – $150 (Please note this is for 1 admission + Spouse, not family members)
  (Access to the sewing room and social activities)

• Welcome Package – $125
  (Includes everything in Basic plus a Welcome Kit valued at $50, kits may include small quilt kit and/or notions)

• Welcome Package with Spouse – $200 (Please note this is for 1 admission + Spouse, not family members)
  (Includes a Welcome kit for both, kits may include small quilt kit and/or notions)

Final balance due by June 1, 2026. 

Optional Add-Ons

• Welcome Package Upgrade – $40 (adds a Upgraded Welcome Kit, $100+ value) *Includes larger kit and extra goodies

• VIP Bundle – $50 (premium curated quilting goodies, $80+ value) *Could include notions, gift cards, & more (TBD)

• Binding Lesson – $50 (lesson, small practice kit, and quilt math guide)

How to Pay

After pre-registering, you’ll receive a confirmation email that will walk you though payment plan steps if you selected payment plan. If you selected pay in full simply select the package option below and any add-ons. If you selected Venmo or CashApp the pay profiles are below and on the pre-registration form. That simple.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made by June 1, 2026: 75% refund of payments made (excluding deposit & paid add-ons)

• Cancellations made June 2 – July 31, 2026: 50% refund (excluding deposit & paid add-ons)

• No refunds after August 1, 2026

• Deposits of $40 are non-refundable

• VIP Bundles and Welcome Kits are non-refundable but will be shipped if the attendee does not attend.
